The art of telling a story without a single word
Visual storytelling was essential for The Little Market to connect the artisan-made goods with the story of their makers — showing the intricate details and artisanal craftsmanship innate to handmade items.
With a lifelong love of interior design and decorating, plus lots of lessons learned from style powerhouses Lauren Conrad and Kate Martindale on set, styling and art direction felt like a natural extension of my responsibilities as graphic designer.
For each photo and video shoot, I worked closely with our Marketing Manager to set the creative intention, led art direction and styling, concepted storyboards, and managed our shot lists. In collaboration with my marketing, e-commerce and product colleagues, I determined what shots, angles, and compositions were needed to satisfy content requirements across channels for product launches and seasonal campaigns.
